Financial Aid
Financial Aid is available
for those who qualify. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the
first step in applying for financial aid and is available through the student financial
aid office. You only need to complete one FAFSA per award year. Be sure to follow
all instructions carefully as filling out this form correctly the first time will
speed up the financial aid process. Assistance with completing the FAFSA is provided
by the financial aid office staff. The Financial Aid Office will use the results
of this application to determine financial need and to disburse financial aid awards.
Financial Aid available at this school includes 1) Florida Bright Future Scholarships,
2) Federal Direct Student Loans, 3) Federal Direct PLUS Loans, 4) Federal Pell Grants,
5) Private Loans through Sallie Mae & Citibank, and 5) Workforce Investment Act/WAGES
Coalition Individual Training Accounts (ITA). The Financial Aid Office is open 7:30
- 5:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday.
Criteria for selecting recipients, determining eligibility for amounts of Aid, how
and when aid will be disbursed, as well as how loans are expected to be repaid,
are found in the Department of Education’s Student Guide which may be obtained from
the school’s financial aid office. This information will be given to each applicant
upon meeting with the Financial Aid Counselor.
Academic Year Definition: Health Occupations Students = 900 Clock Hrs / Practical
Nursing Students = 1000 Clock Hrs Full-Time Students must attend a minimum of 24
hours per week.
Information and student financial aid assistant can be obtained by calling the School’s
main number and asking for the Financial Aid Counselor. For those students who do
not hold a GED or High School Diploma, or who do not pass the ATB Test, GED Courses
